The project that I’ve work on is called Brainiest. The Brainiest is comprised of materials encouraging people with Alzheimer's to engage in stimulating activities in group sessions and at home.
The calendar of games is for people with dementia to use at home to stimulate their brains every day. Each day of the week having a different game theme, such as a quiz on Monday, crossword on Tuesday, dot to dot on Wednesday. There's also space on the back of each day for making notes.
The patches are used in workshop sessions as a tool to reward and encourage participants to engage in the activities. When youngsters are given tasks they are often rewarded for motivation, for example, Scout leaders use badges as rewards - so explorers are motivated to collect as many badges as they can. Prizes could be used to make the games more inspiring and rewarding.
